OUR HISTORY

BUSH Wholesalers began operations in 1964 out of Brooklyn, New York. Shortly thereafter, operating as a branch office and warehouse, Milton Abraham began selling in Philadelphia, PA., trading as Bush Distributors out of a store front on Fairmount Avenue.

Sales grew rapidly because of the service and large inventory that was quickly built up. There was a major need of obtaining commercial grilles, registers and diffusers quickly for the contractors in the area. BUSH not only filled that need, but the company was the only entity to provide extruded aluminum grilles, registers and diffusers in the Philadelphia trading area. Milton decided to move operations to a larger building on North Hancock Street in 1966 and eventually bought out BUSH Wholesalers of New York and established BUSH Distributors as its’ own entity.

With a strong work ethic and sheer determination, Milton grew the business and provided value-added service based on his principal philosophy of treating customers as “valuable trading partners and to be continually focused on their success.”

He would say, “By adhering to this principal, the rest would fall into place.” Sales quickly grew along with the manufacturers that BUSH represented.

In 1972 Milton Abraham’s son, Edward joined the company after graduating Penn State University with a degree in Business Administration. Eddie quickly learned the fundamentals of the business and assumed leadership in 1975 at the young age of 24, after Milton’s sudden passing. Over time, Eddie with the help of his mother Jeanette and dedicated employees, began to diversify BUSH’S product offering and expanded the company’s operations, moved into a larger facility, and increased the territory that was being covered. In 2003, BUSH opened up a branch facility in Lemoyne, PA., just outside of Harrisburg.

Today, BUSH is recognized as a leading stocking mechanical rep organization known for its product diversification and services with over 25,000 square feet of warehousing capacity in two locations.

Throughout the years, Milton’s philosophy continues to remain the guiding principal and Eddie’s vision for the future will be to support an environment for growth, satisfaction and success to all those associated with the company and its affiliates.
